Drought Monitor Now Shows Lake Area As “Abnormally Dry” Compared To Other Areas

The U.S. Drought Monitor now puts the lake area into the abnormally dry area along with most of central Missouri and the northwest part of the state.

The northernmost part of the state into northeast Missouri continues to appear in the moderate drought category except for Lewis County which still appears in the severe category.

And in southern Missouri, severe-to-extreme drought conditions continue.
