Fire Damages Climax Springs Home

Significant damage is reported after a house fire Tuesday afternoon on Vining Drive in Climax Springs.

The Northwest Camden County Fire District says, upon arrival, heavy fire conditions were showing from the back of the residence..

Complicating efforts at the scene included a structural collapse at the back of the house, a multi-layered roof system and the absence of any nearby hydrants for water supply which had to be shuttled in until a fire boat arrived on the scene.

Providing mutual aid were personnel from the Sunrise Beach, Mid-County and Lake Ozark fire districts along with the Coffman Bend Fire Association.

There were no injuries reported and a cause of the fire was not released.
