The Missouri Department of Public Safety and the highway patrol have announced the launch of a new site for the public to report suspicious activity across the state.
The “Show-Me Shield” program is based on the national “See Something, Say Something” initiative used to encourage the public to report potential terrorist-related suspicious activity.
Other reasons for using the new app include to report any unusual items or situations you encounter, persons attempting to elicit information beyond simple curiosity about a building’s purpose, operations, security, personnel or when a shift changes.
The Courage2Report school violence and anti-bullying also remain active and available 24 hours a day.
The new Show-Me Shield app replaced the Missouri SafeNation app which has been deactivated and is no longer being monitored.
