New Flu Numbers Show Over 90,000 Cases With 121 Deaths Statewide

The latest influenza update provided by the Department of Health and Senior Services now indicates that 121 people have died statewide from influenza-associated illnesses.

The number of cases around the state since the official season began in October has now topped the 90,000 mark.

Here in the lake area, another 192 cases were confirmed for the week ending on February 21 bringing the combined season-to-date total up to 1,389 cases.
