Missouri STIP Approved With $13.3 Billion In Funds For Roadwork Through 2030

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission puts its stamp of approval on the Fiscal Years 2026 through 2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP.

The program is a blueprint of transportation projects planned by state and regional planning agencies representing one of the largest STIPS to date which will include additional funding from General Revenue as passed by the Missouri General Assembly and signed by Gov. Mike Kehoe.

Included in the funding are improvements to interstates 70 and 44, the fixing of low-volume minor roads and improvements to bridges, airports and rail crossings.

The STIP makes available $13.3 billion of federal and state revenues for all modes of transportation over the five years with $9.5 billion of it in contractor awards averaging about $1.9 billion per year.
