MCSO Completes “Soft Interview” Room for Crime Victims

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is doing its part to make victims of alleged crimes feel safe, supported and at ease while talking with law enforcement.

The office recently completed a new “soft interview” room which provides more of a calm and relaxed atmosphere for crime victims who in the past were interviewed in the same “cold interview” room that was used during investigations to talk with suspects.

The project was completed by Miller County deputies while furniture for the new “soft interview” room was provided by the Lake Area Human Trafficking Task Force.

Planning for the room started early this year.
