Judge Steps Down From Case Against Former Benton Treasurer Accused Of Child Sex Crimes

An arraignment for the former Benton County Treasurer scheduled for December 3rd is being postponed, after the judge in the case recused himself.

Officials say Judge M. Brandon Baker stepped down from the case regarding Richard Renno, and that the Missouri Supreme Court will be assigning a new judge.

That also comes with a new arraignment date, neither of which have been announced just yet.

Renno was arrested and charged earlier this year, after he was accused of trying to entice, communicate, and send nude photographs to a minor.

He since resigned following both the allegations and a lawsuit from the Missouri Attorney General.
