Three Citizens Appointed To Various Boards And Commissions

Governor Mike Kehoe on Friday announced three appointments to various boards and commissions.

Michael Gott, of Springfield, was appointed to the Air Conservation Commission.

James Sterling, of Rolla, was appointed to the Missouri Technology Corporation.

And Dr. Jamie Renfro, of Bolivar, was appointed to the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Michael Gott, of Springfield, was appointed to the Air Conservation Commission.

Mr. Gott was previously a plumber by trade before becoming a business manager for Local Union 178. He is currently a member of both the Springfield Building Trades and the Mink Pipe Trades. He holds medical gas, backflow prevention, and LP gas (Liquid Petroleum Gas/Propane) certifications. Gott is a graduate of Hillcrest High School.

James Sterling, of Rolla, was appointed to the Missouri Technology Corporation.

Mr. Sterling was previously a professor at the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, California, before accepting the role of vice provost and founding dean of Kummer College at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is the past president and a fellow of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening. Sterling earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and his master’s and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Dr. Jamie Renfro, of Bolivar, was appointed to the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Dr. Renfro is currently a nurse practitioner at Citizens Memorial Healthcare. She is a member of the Missouri Nurses Association, National Association of Family Nurse Practitioners, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Renfro earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Maryville University. She also earned her master’s in public health and business administration from Benedictine University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University.
