Richland Man Seriously Hurt After Apparently Falling Asleep at the Wheel

A Richland man is seriously hurt in a one-car accident late Saturday morning after apparently falling asleep at the wheel on U.S. 54 near the Blue Springs Creek Bridge in Miller County.

The car ran off the road before striking two road signs, a guard rail and another road sign, then going airborne, striking the ground and rolling into a creek.

The 55-year-old was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
