Helicopter Crash In Meramec River Sends Four People To The Hospital

An aerial ecological survey of Meramec State Park took a wrong turn on Thursday when the helicopter carrying three state parks members and a private pilot crashed into the Meramec River.

All those aboard were rescued from the river and taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital with what appeared to non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s believed that the aircraft may have struck a powerline.
