Roadwork Continues For Camdenton And Versailles This Week

Weather permitting, the driving pattern is expected to temporarily change this week for westbound-54 motorists in Camdenton.

“With that, the first thing that’s going to be happening is that, you know, we’re, we’re widening the road and so to to to do that and give workers room to, to work, the center turn lane is going to go away. So it’ll still be one lane in each direction, but they’ll no longer be a center turn lane while this first phase is happening.”

MoDOT Central District Area Traffic Engineer Trent Brooks also says, elsewhere, that some finishing touches remain on the 5-and-52 roundabout and widening of west-52 project in Versailles..

A temporary bypass will be put in around the roundabout to allow culvert work near the intersection which is expected to relieve the longtime problem flooding after a heavy rainfall.
