Sweet Corn Festival “Ready To Go” For This September

It’s hard to believe but this year’s Sweet Corn Festival in the Rocky Mount area is pretty much right around the corner.

That’s according to Rocky Mount Fire Chief Jonathan Trail who says the event is planned and hosted by the district’s Firefighters Benevolent Association and will feature a little of something for everyone who shows up.

“It’s a fun time for everybody. There’s there’s activities for people of all ages, children, adults. There’ll be some craft vendor show and then obviously some great food.”

Also being offered is a gun raffle.

Proceeds from the day will go to Benevolent Association to help with expenses for its members and maybe some equipment for the fire district.

The 16^th annual festival will run from 10-4 on Saturday, September 5^th.
