The man accused of the Stoutland murders last week has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing February 7. Public defender Fawzy Simon is representing him, at least for now.
Morris McCabe, 51, of Lebanon, was not at Thursday’s hearing and remains jailed without bond.
McCabe is accused of killing Donald Young, Donald Myers, and Sally Amos at Myers’ mobile home a week ago.
The man accused of murdering 3 people last week was said to be jealous. 51-year-old Morris McCabe remains jailed, described by his ex-girlfriend and jealous and obsessive.
Vickie Bell had told authorities that McCabe threatened to kill her children if she broke up with him, and that McCabe suggested that harm would come to her new boyfriend, 53-year-old Donald Meyers. Myers, 45-year-old Donald Young and 46-year-old Sally Amos, were found in Myers’ mobile home Dec. 3, all dead, apparently of gunshot wounds.
Autopsies are pending.
McCabe remains jailed in Laclede County on three charges of first-degree murder.
