Seadoo Operator Seriously Hurt After Striking Bridge Pier

A Versailles man is seriously hurt when he was ejected from the Seadoo he was riding after it struck a bridge pier at the 10-mile mark of the Gravois Arm.

The highway patrol says it happened around 7:30 Thursday night and that the 22-year-old was wearing a life jacket at the time.

He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital and is also expected to be charged with boating while intoxicated and careless and imprudent watercraft operation.
