New Report Shows A Drop In Homicides Across The US In 2025

There was a record drop in homicides in the U.S. last year…

A new study from the Independent Council on Criminal Justice says homicides were down 21% from 2024.

They were down 40% in Washington DC and 22% in New York.

Of the 13 types of crimes the council tracked, 11 were down, including carjackings, aggravated assaults, and shoplifting.

The report says it’s too soon to tell why crime dropped so much.
