The lake area didn’t really dodge a proverbial bullet with last weekend’s winter storm but it definitely could’ve been a lot worse.
That’s according to Lake Ozark City Administrator Harrison Fry who says, not only in Lake Ozark but, the entire lake area seems to be in a good spot right now when it comes to winter operations.
“The lake area right now seems to be in a really good spot with the road maintenance teams, you know, having the resources they need, having the staff that they need. And as far as main roads, whether it’s MODOT, County Road districts, the cities really were able to stay on top of this.”
Fry also gave credit to the combination of the storm not including any significant amount of ice being predicted well in advance and the general public, for the most part, heeding advice to stay off the roadways which allowed the road crews to get their jobs done without too many problems.
