Fire Destroys Lake Area Restaurant On Monday

An early morning fire causes extensive damage to a lake area restaurant west of camdenton.

Mid County Fire Chief Scott Frandsen says the call was received around 2:50 Monday morning to the Pebble Bay Club Restaurant.

Smoke and flames could be seen from miles away and about 25 percent of the structure was well involved when the first crews arrived on the scene.

At least five other districts responded to the scene and to provide coverage for Mid County.

It took about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control and another couple hours to make sure it was all put out.

The state fire marshals office is investigating the fire.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
