A 27-year-old Rocky Mount woman faces felony attempted assault special victim and misdemeanor resisting arrest charges after an alleged encounter with an Eldon police officer over the weekend.
The probable cause statement says a report was received Sunday morning about Tehya Seiling apparently “arguing with street signs.”
The officer made contact with Seiling and after talking with her attempted to take her into protective custody. During the sequence, she allegedly resisted and, at one point while on the ground, grabbed the officer below the waist which was considered as offensive and provocative.
Seiling was warned that she would be tased before she eventually complied and was taken into custody.
She was being held on a $10,000 bond.
