Construction Worker Killed While Directing Traffic in Pulaski County

A construction worker is dead after being hit by a vehicle while conducting traffic control in Pulaski County.

The highway patrol says it happened around 2:20 Monday afternoon on Spruce Road west of Highway-W.

The 35-year-old man was hit by an SUV when the 88-year-old man from Waynesville failed to notice the construction worker who was pronounced dead a short time later on the scene.

The 88-year-old was uninjured.
