Lincoln Resident Being Held Behind Bars After Ramming Sheriff’s Office Patrol Car

A 53-year-old from Lincoln is being held on more than a quarter-of-a-million dollar bond after allegedly ramming a sheriff’s office patrol car and then trying to hit a second patrol car.

A probable cause statement filed in the Benton County Courthouse says the incident happened shortly after 6:00 Saturday morning in the area of Pinewood and Pin Oak drives when officers were investigating a delayed accident.

Rudolph Rubalcaba, the third, also allegedly denied that he was the driver of the car and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken to the Benton County Jail and is formally charged with first-degree assault special victim, felony property damage and misdemeanor driving revoked or suspended.
