A Nebraska woman was seriously hurt after she was struck by a propeller at the Lake of the Ozarks.
According to the Highway Patrol’s water division, the woman was swimming at the 6-mile mark of the Big Niangua Arm on Saturday afternoon.
They say a 22-year-old man from Omaha Nebraska was operating a 2023 Landau Pontoon, and he put the boat into reverse instead of neutral as intended.
The boat then went backwards and hit the 33-year-old woman, also from Omaha.
She was flown to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
