New Research Shows Cats Could Help As Therapy Animals

There’s some new research investigating the use of felines as therapy animals.

When you think of therapy animals, a golden retriever may come to mind.

But now research from Washington State University finds that cats may be able to handle the same job.

Some cats are a little bit different in that they seem to really enjoy socializing.

With people, hanging out with people, university researcher Dr. Patricia Penry says don’t underestimate kitty cats, “They’re actually quite similar. Dogs and cats can behave in a very similar way if they have certain behavioral traits.”
