How challenging is it for those wanting to retire in Missouri…?
According to Polaris Home Care, a caregiver based in the State of California, the Show-Me State is the second-most challenging state to retire in.
Polars conducted a study which took into account 12 social and economic factors including crime rates, annual medical costs, housing costs and state salaries.
Other factors affecting Missouri’s less than rosy ranking include having the country’s second-highest annual expenditures on gas and other energy per capita as well as the nation’s second highest utility costs per capita.
The state ranking as the most challenging to retire in was identified as Alaska.
Others in the top-10 most challenging include Texas, Nebraska, Louisiana, Illinois, Oregon, California, New Jersey and Kansas.
