It’s a busy month of May for the Osage Beach Fire District.
Chief Paul Berardi says his personnel responded to 238 incidents for the month dominated by 176 medical assists.
There were also four fires, a search and rescue, one water rescue and one reply for a chemical or toxic-related call.
The average response time in May of this year was six minutes and six seconds with 32 of the calls overlapping with others received, or ongoing, at the same time.
The 238 incidents in May brings the year-to-date number up to 991 incidents compared to 837 at the same time in 2023…or more than 18% ahead of last year.
