Police Stay Active Over Weekend Following Numerous Altercations At Area Facilities

Law enforcement around the lake area remained busy over the weekend with dozens of calls including several reported assaults.

The assaults included 20-30 combatants going at each other on the docks with several people being pushed into the water and threats made near an Osage Beach bar and grill off Bluff Drive.

Conflicting reports indicate that altercation started after some of those involved were a little too flirtatious with others or because some were angry about certain boat slips being taken by others.

One person was apparently bloodied from the scrum.

The other incidents took place at a Lake Ozark motel with around 10 people going at it, another involving a handful of people at a business in the area of Wheelhouse Circle on Horseshoe Bend and one incident between a couple happened in the drive-thru of an Osage Beach restaurant on the eastern side of the parkway.

There were no official reports of alcohol being a factor in any of the assaults.
