Roach Area Woman Injured After Falling in Pit

Personnel from the Northwest Camden County Fire District respond early Friday afternoon to an area in Roach for a rope rescue after a woman was injured when she fell about 10 feet into a pit with limited access.

Upon arrival, it was determined that mutual aid would be needed for a technical rope rescue. Northwest began patient care stabilizing and packaging the patient until personnel from the Sunrise Beach and Lake Ozark districts arrived on the scene.

The woman was lifted from the pit and taken to Lake Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries was not released.
