Versailles Man Dies in Morgan County Accident

A one-vehicle accident on Route-W north of Old Marvin Cutoff Road in Morgan County takes the life of a Versailles man.

The highway patrol says it happened Friday afternoon when the 66-year-old failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike two highway signs before impacting a creek bed and overturning.

The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was pronounced dead on the scene.
