Although the main Lake of the Ozarks Fall Shoreline Cleanup took place this past weekend, the job isn’t done.
Still to hit the water to do some cleaning are members of the Young Professionals at the Lake who, according to Emily from the Y-P-L, will use this month’s meeting as a chance to further the cause, “It’s a little bit longer of a meeting. Typically we have about an hour and some change for our meetings, but we’re going to dedicate our time to volunteering.”
Also with the Y-P-L is Curtis who says the cleanup is a necessary effort not only to keep the cash registers opening up but for those of us who call the lake home, “We got to keep our home clean and safe, especially for families that live here full time.”
The Y-P-L will meet at 12:30 on Wednesday taking off from Dog Days around 1:00 for their part of the cleanup and then return a couple hours later.
Those interested in being part of it can find more information on the Lake Area Chamber’s website.
