UPDATE: Several Boats Apparently Lost in Early-Morning Dock Fire

More information has been released following Monday’s early-morning dock fire on Wheel House Court.

Lake Ozark Fire Chief Jerry Blomberg says the call was received just after 1:00 and, upon arrival, the 15 slip and several boats were fully involved.

Blomberg also says the Red Cross is assisting occupants who lived on one of the boats and lost all their personal belongings.

Total damage estimates are estimated at more than $800,000 and the Department of Natural Resources is also involved to determine any environmental impact from the fire which is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
