Camdenton Schools Gets Proactive About School Bus Safety

Just in case you may have forgotten, it’s that time of the year for school buses to start rolling again.

One district in the lake area, Camdenton, is taking a proactive approach receiving city approval and teaming up with MoDOT to post more than 30 informational signs at the square to make sure motorists are more vigilant, especially during the morning and afternoon hours.

“It’s just a visual of knowing that, you know, hey, school buses, let’s stop. Let’s stop for our for our kids and our drivers.”

The campaign, Stop and Stay for School Buses, It’s the Law, will run through September 7^th.

The Lakers first official day back to school is next Tuesday, the 19^th.

The Eldon, Iberia, Richland, St. Elizabeth and Stoutland districts started classes on Monday.
