It’s a change of venue for a former Moniteau County commissioner who’s accused of felony stealing and forgery.

One count of forgery and two counts of stealing were filed against Doug Naros alleging that Naros submitted multiple invoices to the county for his personal vehicle and his residence.

The investigation began in January when the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office requested that the highway patrol look into the allegations prompting Naros to resign just days before the charges were formally filed.

The case is being moved on a change of venue and will now be heard in Morgan County.
