Scary moments Tuesday afternoon when a Morgan County R2 school bus loaded with children was involved in an accident on north highway-5 near Keepsake Road.

Gravois Fire Chief Dustin Hancock says personnel were on their way to an unrelated accident .when they came upon the bus accident.

The Versailles Rural Fire District was toned out to the other accident while Gravois personnel tended to the bus accident assessing 31 students and the bus driver while deploying fans inside the bus due to the heat inside.

All students were transferred to a second bus and taken to the south elementary which served a reunification point for adults picking up the kids.

Some minor injuries were reported but none of the kids required transport to the hospital.

Assisting at the scene were personnel from the Sunrise Beach and Lake Ozark fire districts along with the Lake West and Mid-MO ambulance districts, Laurie Police, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the highway patrol.
