Buffalo, MO, Man Killed in Benton County Traffic Accident

A 59-year-old man from Buffalo is dead after the southbound car he was driving Monday morning crossed over the center and struck a northbound work truck on highway-65 at Byrum Avenue in Benton County.

The highway patrol says, after the initial impact, the car ran off the road and into  a ditch while the truck also ran off the road striking a garage and a third vehicle.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The third driver was not injured.
