The Cardinals bats arrived on the scene in a big way last night as they opened up a series with first place Milwaukee at Bush.
Already up eight to one in the bottom of the 8th inning, the Birds put a ten spot up on the board en route to an 18 to 1 win.
Nolan Arianado homered for the fourth straight game.
Nolan Gorman drove in five runs.
Tommy Edmund had four hits.
Andrew Kisner with a grand slam, part of that big ten run 8th inning.
Jack Flaherty struck out ten to pick up his third win.
And, oh, by the way, Wilson Contreras starting behind the plate for the first time in nearly a week and a half.
Meanwhile, the Royals, they’ve dropped four straight again after winning three of four against the White Sox last week.
They’re blanked by the Padres in San Diego 4 to nothing.
Brad Keller takes the loss his fourth of the year Royals with just two hits on the night.
