Edwards Man Injured In Benton County Car Crash

An Edwards man is seriously hurt in a one-vehicle accident on Benton County Route-M at South Shore Drive.

The highway patrol says it happened around 8:45 Monday night when the vehicle driven by 65-year-old Donald Blankenship Junior ran off the road and struck two signs and a tree.

It’s unknown if Blankenship was wearing a seat belt.

He suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital.
