Eldon Man Injured In Car Crash On Monday

A 66-year-old Eldon man was injured in a crash on Monday.

According to the Highway Patrol, he was traveling too fast in his 1995 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Saline Road, when he began to skid, lost the drivers side front wheel, proceeded onto Missouri 17 northbound, went airborne, struck a tree, overturned and came to rest landing in a ditch.

The driver was wearing a seat belt.

Even though the injuries were minor at the scene, the driver was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.
