Before you open up that next package of Great Value shrimp from Walmart, you might want to do a little checking first after a recall was issued because of a risk of radioactive contamination.
The frozen shrimp in question was imported from Indonesia and could contain a radioactive isotope called Cesium-137.
The FDA says there have been no reports of the product being infected but it was detected in a single shipment of the shrimp.
The Great Value brand products listed below were sold at Walmart stores in AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MO, MS, OH, OK, PA, TX, and WV.
These products include the following product names, lot codes, and best by dates:
If you bought any, you are being encouraged to throw the shrimp away or return it to Walmart for a refund.
Missouri is among the 13 states where the shrimp was sold.
