They may not end up in law enforcement careers but they almost certainly walked away with a different perspective on what it’s like to be a cop or other first responders.
Thirty youngsters in 5th through 8th grades officially graduated last Friday night from the Camden County Junior Law Enforcement Academy.
Over a dozen agencies, community groups and businesses made the weeklong academy another success including, among others: the Mid-MO Drug Task Force, the Highway Patrol, the Department of Conservation, the 180th Military Police Detachment, the Mid-County Fire District, the Camden County Emergency Management Agency and the Camdenton School District.
The graduation was held in the school district’s Little Theater.
