One Injured When Vehicle Strikes Horse in Roadway Then Second Vehicle in Morgan County

A 51-year-old woman from Gravois Mills is injured Saturday morning when the vehicle she was driving on highway-5 near Forest Road in Morgan County struck a horse in the roadway before going airborne and striking another vehicle.

The highway patrol says the woman escaped with minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to a Jefferson City area hospital.

There was no word on the condition of the horse.
