Osage Beach officials are asking for input from residents and stakeholders about a federal grant initiative which aims to eliminate traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries in the city.

After a Safe Streets and Roads for All grant was awarded in 2023 to the city by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Osage Beach Vision Zero Action Plan was launched back in October.

Funding from the grant is being used to identify key safety corridors and recommend targeted improvements within the city.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share experiences and provide input about specific locations that may require safety interventions.

The city is expected to use any input to come up with a demonstration project this summer and an incomplete draft plan sometime during the fall before adopting a plan sometime during the winter months.
