Swimmer Drowns in Private Lake in Bollinger County

The State Highway Patrol says a 30-year-old man from St. Louis is dead after drowning in a private lake in Bollinger County, in southeast Missouri.

It happened early Saturday afternoon in the private lake four miles north of Patton when the man was swimming and went under the water failing to resurface.

The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
