Flash Flood Warning including Urbana MO, Louisburg MO and Tunas MO until 1:15 AM CDT

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Northern Dallas County in southwestern Missouri…

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 756 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include… Urbana, Louisburg, Tunas, Pumpkin Center and Leadmine.

This includes the following low water crossings…
Cahoochie Creek at Highway BB, Lindley Creek at Mathis Road and Little Niangua River at Highway E.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

This warning is for Southern Cedar County in southwestern Missouri, Dade County in southwestern Missouri and Polk County in southwestern Missouri. Avoid walking or driving through flood waters!
