An upgrade is on the way for a stretch of Interstate 44 in Laclede County.
In a meeting held in Lebanon, MODOT Says they’re looking a replacing pavement along a 10.5-mile stretch that has been in place since 1966.
Residents attending the meeting are mostly satisfied with the plans, with only a few concerns over exit ramp closures and detours.
Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2027 and could be completed by the fall of 2028.
