Camdenton Community Center Project Sees Slight Wrinkle But Still Set To Be Open Soon

It’s getting down to crunch time before the long-awaited community center will make its official debut in Camdenton.

While final touches are being put on construction of the $4.1 million dollar center, there’s still a wrinkle but it’s not expected to keep the center from being able to be used sooner than later.

“The problem is, is interior doors as I mentioned, so they’re look like they’re not going to be there till probably mid-july. So we’re looking at some alternatives to try to be able to have a soft opening we get open earlier.”

City Administrator Jeff Hooker and the board also went over rental pricing for the community center with the main discussion focusing on deposit amounts.

Hooker also gave the board an update on the east-54 cost share agreement for some much-needed roadwork to try alleviating some of the congestion. The agreement has been given preliminary approval but has yet to be finalized and released to the city and the public.
