Inattention due to an internal distraction is being blamed for a car leaving the roadway before traveling off the roadway and striking some trees which sent a 9-year-old to the emergency room.
That’s according to the highway patrol which says it happened around 5:45 Saturday afternoon along Route-P east of Moffitt Point in Morgan County.
The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Brandon Snook of Gravois Mills, was not injured.
His passenger did suffer moderate injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
Both had been wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
