B2 Bomber Makes Fiery Landing At Whiteman Over The Weekend

A B-2 Stealth Bomber made a fiery emergency landing on a runway at Whiteman Air Force Base west of Sedalia on Saturday.

Officials say it’s one of the 509th Bomb Wing’s B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and the cause of the emergency landing was an unspecified in-flight malfunction during routine operations.

According to the wing, the B-2 caught fire after landing, which was extinguished by the base fire department.

No injuries were reported.
