Boating Infrastructure Grants Awarded To 19 States Including Missouri

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced more than $20-million in grant funding to 19 states, including Missouri, for building, renovating and maintaining marinas and other boating facilities.

The Boating Infrastructure Grant program has awarded more than $283-million to various projects for large transient recreational boats, berths and other amenities since the program’s inception in 2000.

Funding for the program comes from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund…a voluntary user-pay system created in 1950 by recreational boaters and anglers.
