Cardinals Broadcaster Facing DWI Charges

A 24 year broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals is facing felony drunk driving charges for a Sunday night incident.

48 year old Dan McLaughlin was arrested and charged with what’s called “DWI-Persistent” as it’s at least his third arrest for driving while impaired.

The latest charges carry a maximum of four years in prison if McLaughlin’s found guilty.

In a social media post McLaughlin says he’s “deeply remorseful” for his actions, saying he’s seeking the treatment that he knows he needs.

Meanwhile the Cardinals say in a statement they are awaiting more information before making further comment.
