Court Orders Motion To Stay Biden Regulations Affecting Energy Prices In Missouri

Chalk up at least another temporary victory for the State of Missouri after a motion to stay the President’s attempt to impose regulations that would hike the price of energy for Missourians statewide.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, on Wednesday, granted the stay which was filed by Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s Office which claims the order also prohibits the E-P-A from imposing the regulations during the appeals process.

Bailey’s appeal cited that the Clean Air Act explicitly provides individual states with the primary right and responsibility to control emissions within their borders to satisfy national air quality standards without any assistance to be provided by the federal government.

If the appeal would’ve failed, according to A-G Bailey, power plants across the state would’ve been at risk of being permanently shut down.
