Deal For Delta Pilots Could Keep Strikes From Blocking Travel In The Region

If you’re flying with Delta out of Springfield Branson National Airport in the near future, you probably won’t have to worry about any airline strikes thanks to an agreement made over the weekend.

Pilots for Delta Airlines have been offered a 34% pay raise over three years in a new contract.

The industry is short staffed … and travel demand is soaring.

The pilots – who have been working without a new contract for nearly three years — will also get a one-time payment equivalent to 22% of their earnings between 2020 and 2022.

They voted to authorize a strike if no agreement could be reached on a contract.

If the Delta pilots approve the deal – it is widely expected to set the tone for talks at United and American Airlines
